Tottenham strikers coach Les Ferdinand says Emmanuel Adebayor has made a positive impact since his arrival.

Adebayor joined Spurs on-loan from Manchester City last month.

"His contribution has been fantastic since he came here and most people would agree he is a fantastic centre-forward," Ferdinand told skysports.com.

"His situation reminds of the time when Robbie Keane signed for us and he was a bit of a nomad at the time and had a bit of a reputation like Adebayor."

He added: "He's been at Arsenal, Manchester City and Real Madrid - during that spell at Madrid he showed everyone what a top player he is, but more importantly, I think it calmed him down a bit.

"Harry is the perfect manager for him and will know how to get the best out of him. The challenge is to keep him motivated and if we do that, then we have a player whose best is still yet to come. That is an exciting prospect."
