Tottenham are on the verge of signing Erik Lamela after agreeing a £30million fee with AS Roma.
Spurs have been in pursuit of the 21-year old Argentine forward as they prepare for life without Real Madrid target Gareth Bale and it looks as though they will soon get their man after both Spurs and the Giallorossi came to terms on a transfer fee.
"Roma announce they have signed a contract with Tottenham for the outright sale of the playing rights of Erik Lamela, in exchange for 30m euros," read a statement on Roma's official website.
"The agreement also includes the obligation to pay 5m euros in bonuses related to the achievements of the player and the English club."
Lamela, who joined Roma from River Plate in August 2011, has scored 19 goals in two seasons for the Roman outfit.
