Tottenham are tracking Stuttgart midfielder Alexandru Maxim.

The 23 year-old Romania international, who came close to joining Chelsea early in his career, is emerging as a top target for Spurs this summer.

Bucharest sources insist Maxim is aware of Tottenham's interest and convinced he's a priority target for next season.

Maxim has scored seven goals in 30 games for Stuttgart this term.
