Tottenham are chasing Shakhtar Donetsk striker Luiz Adriano.

The Daily Mail says Adriano does not have any caps for Brazil but may still get a work permit on the grounds of him being a special talent.

Shakhtar would be looking for a fee of around £12m for the 25-year-old who has pace and great ability. Tottenham are in the market for strikers and know Adriano but they have other priorities at the moment with Harry Redknapp's future also still to be mapped out and talks ongoing for targets in other areas.
