FC Twente full-back Edson Braafheid is a target for Tottenham.

The Holland international has been outstanding for Steve McClaren's team this season with Ajax and Schalke also the defender's situation, says the Daily Mail.

Braafheid 's contract with Twente has another year to run and McClaren hopes he will sign a new deal this summer.

But the prospect of playing in the Barclays Premier League against some of the best sides in Europe would be a big incentive for Braafheid.
