Tottenham are chasing former Newcastle United star Lomana LuaLua.
The Sun says the Congo striker, 28, could join up with his former Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp as a free agent as early as next week.
LuaLua is ready to tear up his £60,000-a-week deal with Qatar club Al-Arabi and will be eligible to sign for Spurs immediately.
Redknapp plans to hand a £40,000-a-week deal to LuaLua, whose career has nosedived since he left Pompey to join Olympiakos in 2007.
