Tottenham are closing in on Almeria goalkeeper Diego Alves.

The Sun says Spurs have watched the Almeria keeper three times in the last six weeks.

Alves, 24, is rated at £10million after impressing in La Liga and could be included in Brazil's squad for the World Cup.

Alves is also being tracked by Spanish outfit Valencia and he said: "It is my dream to play for a really big club.

"Perhaps now I am in the best form of my life and I dream of making it to the World Cup."
