Tottenham are ready to compete with Arsenal for Liverpool firebrand Luis Suarez. The Daily Mail says Spurs will go for Suarez if they're forced to sell Gareth Bale to Real Madrid.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy wanted to sign Suarez from Ajax when Harry Redknapp was manager and is impressed with how the 26-year-old has adapted to the Premier League quickly. Beating their north London neighbours to his signature would certainly help soften the blow of losing Bale.
