Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has ruled out releasing Erik Lamela for loan this month.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has ruled out releasing Erik Lamela for loan this month.

The Mirror says his father even claimed Lamela wanted to quit the club this month - but Levy is determined to keep him.

He sees it as a matter of pride that such a marquee signing should not be allowed to leave the club so soon after arriving, although the 21-year-old remains behind Aaron Lennon and Andros Townsend in the pecking order.
