Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris admits PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot has stunned the France players.

Rabiot responded to being named amongst the World Cup standby players by rejecting selection in an email to France coach Didier Deschamps.

Lloris stated: "It's a shame to be faced with such a situation even though, as a player, I can understand the disappointment of not having been selected in the 23.

"I think the way is not the most appropriate. This is part of the coach's choices that can be discussed but especially respected. The best way to show his discontent is by acting on the pitch, being professional and trying to defeat his coach.
