Tottenham have canceled all academy games this weekend after the sudden death of U23 coach Ugo Ehiogu.

Spurs have also confirmed that Monday's Premier League 2 game against Manchester United, due to take place at Old Trafford, will no longer go ahead.

Ehiogu suffered a cardiac arrest at Tottenham's Enfield training ground on Thursday morning and died in the early hours of this morning in hospital.

In a statement on the club Twitter feed Spurs confirmed that none of their youth teams would play their matches this weekend.

The 44-year-old former England international had been working as part of the Tottenham coaching setup on a formal basis since 2014 and several Spurs youngsters who worked under Ehiogu paid tribute to his impact on their careers.

Both midfielder Josh Onomah and young defender Kyle Walker-Peters labelled Ehiogu a “father figure" whilst Shayon Harrison, the 19-year-old striker, said his coach had been “one of the most genuine and caring people I've ever met".
