Tottenham are closing in on a £14 million deal for Internacional midfielder Sandro.
The Daily Mail says Sandro has long been linked with a move to White Hart Lane but found his path to the Premier League blocked by work permit regulations.
But after being named in the national squad by Brazil boss Dunga for the recent World Cup qualifiers, Sandro's case for a move to England has strengthened.
Sandro's deal hinges on Tottenham paying a group of club investors who own 30 per cent of the player's registration. But Spurs are confident of sealing a move for Sandro with boss Harry Redknapp keen to add some more steel to his midfield in January.
