Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas says Newcastle United goalkeeper Tim Krul was the difference in defeat yesterday.
Spurs lost 1-0 at White Hart Lane, despite dominating possession and chances created.
He said: "We gave Newcastle that advantage and paid the price.
"I'm particularly happy with how we reacted in the second half and we were very unlucky not to score at least one goal.
"Tim Krul made a difference, managed to keep Newcastle alive and take the win.
"They were outstanding situations and normally one goes into the back of the net and the lift you get from scoring is immense. It wasn't to be. Krul made one save after another, we hit the bar. It wasn't to be our day."
