Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood is considering recalling Benoit Assou-Ekotto from his loan at QPR.
The People says Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is reluctant to spend big in the winter market.
Sherwood will target a striker and a left-back, but may recall Assou-Ekotto from his loan at Queens Park Rangers to fill that defensive void.
