Tim Sherwood has spoken of his excitement at Tottenham's planned trip to the USA in the summer.
Spurs have confirmed a friendlies with MLS clubs Seattle Sounders at CenturyLink Field for July 19 and Chicago Fire at Toyota Park on July 26 and the manager is looking forward to using it as preparation for the 2014/15 Premier League season.
"Preseason preparations are always key ahead of a new campaign. We all know that the US has first-class facilities, while Major League Soccer is growing each year," he said.
"The MLS opposition we face will be in the middle of their seasons and playing in their home stadiums so we can expect strong tests from both Seattle Sounders and Chicago Fire.
"The Club is rightfully proud of its large and growing fan base in the States and we look forward to meeting with as many of our loyal fans from across the country as we can."
