Tottenham boss Redknappp: Levy will decide my England hopes

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp admits his England hopes are in the hands of chairman Daniel Levy.

Redknapp does not think he would be able to take on the job part-time, as well as continue to plot Spurs' push for honours, as he insists it is impossible to juggle high-profile Premier League football with even more high-profile international matches.

He said: "It's aggro, isn't it? Let's not kid ourselves, managing England — it's aggravation.

"It would be very difficult to do both. It's hard enough managing a Premier League club, let alone England. They are two difficult jobs. Your focus has to be on one job.

"You can't be going home thinking who is playing well in this situation.

"I can't take my eye off the ball at Tottenham at the moment. We are looking to get into the Champions League again and we are still in the FA Cup. I owe it to everyone at the club to keep completely focused on the job I'm doing here.

"It wouldn't be fair to anyone at this job if I started letting my thoughts wander elsewhere. Things could not have gone better for me at Tottenham. I have enjoyed my time here. The chairman has been great to me and I have been good for them as well, so it's difficult. Until the question gets asked — 'Would you want the job?' — what can I do?

"No one has ever approached Daniel. That's the key. He's the chairman. Until he rings me up and says I have had an approach, there is nothing for me to consider."
