Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has a long list of striker targets for the summer market.
The Telegraph says Tottenham were desperate to buy a new striker in January but failed with bids in excess of £30 million for both Sergio Agüero (Atletico Madrid) and Giuseppe Rossi (Villarreal).
Inquiries were also understood to have been made for Diego Forlán (Atletico), Emmanuel Adebayor (Manchester City), Andy Carroll (Liverpool), Fernando Llorente (Athletic Bilbao), Álvaro Negredo (Sevilla) and Luís Fabiano.
Between them, the current striking line-up of Peter Crouch, Roman Pavlyuchenko and Jermain Defoe have contributed just 13 Premier League goals all season.
