Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp says Peter Crouch must start scoring.
Redknapp has told the 6ft 7in striker that rival centre-forwards are breathing down his neck for club and country.
He has the threat of both Bolton's Kevin Davies and Newcastle ace Andy Carroll homing in on his England place, while Spurs team-mate Jermain Defoe is soon to return from injury and will challenge Crouch on both fronts.
Redknapp said: "Carroll must have a chance of getting in the next England squad and Capello was obviously looking at Kevin Davies on Saturday, so there is competition.
"Peter scores goals for England whenever he plays and his record has been very good. And he has been banging in goals in every game for us in Europe.
"It is just in the league that he has not been able to do that this year."
