Tottenham boss Redknapp wants Defoe to stay

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp insists he won't sell his stars in January.

Jermain Defoe said his Euro 2012 hopes rest on him finding greener pastures, with Manu Adebayor and Rafa van der Vaart keeping him out of the side.

But boss Redknapp said: "It is difficult. Pav's (Roman Pavlyuchenko) an international, who has got the Euros coming up and of course wants to play. It's hard. It's like Defoe.

"But I'd like to keep all four of them. You need your strikers."
