Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has told West Ham United to drop their bid for the London Olympic stadium.
The Hammers are locked in a bitter tug-of-war with Tottenham for the right to take over after the 2012 Games in London.
Spurs plan to demolish the main arena and replace it with a purpose-built football stadium, whereas West Ham would leave a running track around the pitch.
Redknapp insists that would be a 'nightmare', telling The Sun: "Try to mix football and athletics and you end up with a great big bowl of nothing.
"The windblown no-man's land between a pitch and the stands can kill football."
