Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp believes Jermain Defoe may struggle to make England's World Cup squad.
Wayne Rooney, Emile Heskey and Peter Crouch look certainties - and that would leave Defoe fighting it out with Darren Bent to grab the last place.
Defoe netted only two goals in the final 12 games for Spurs and boss Redknapp feels his man's place in the final 23 is under threat.
He said: "I think it will be tight. Rooney is an absolute certainty and so is Crouch because he gives a different dimension.
"After that it is a competition for places. Darren has had an outstanding season. Capello may take only four."
