Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp remains keen on Atletico Madrid striker Diego Forlan. The London Evening Standard says Redknapp has been interested in Uruguay striker Forlan since last summer's World Cup but could not agree a deal with Atletico Madrid either then or in January.
The 32-year-old's high wages mean chairman Daniel Levy will have to be persuaded of the former Manchester United player's enduring value.
Atletico are prepared to sell Forlan this summer for the right price.
