Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has added fuel to the fire for the Champions League return leg with AC Milan, labeling midfielder Mathieu Flamini's challenge on Vedran Corluka as 'horrendous'.
The former Arsenal man produced a horror tackle on Corluka during Spurs' 1-0 win over the Rossoneri at the San Siro in the Round of 16, which could have easily broken the leg of the Croatian defender.
Redknapp spoke out about the tackle after the match and confirmed that Corluka would need X-rays.
"The tackle from Flamini was a horrendous tackle," Redknapp said.
"It was a sending off. He was two or three feet off the floor with two feet. It was a leg-breaking tackle.
"He will have an X-ray tomorrow but I don't think he has broken it but he could have done easily."
Peter Crouch's 80th minute header separated the two sides in a game which was marred by a couple of ugly incidents, notably Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattusso appearing to headbutt Spurs assistant Joe Jordan after the final whistle.
