Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is ready to raise £55 million with player sales in the summer.
The People says Redknapp is preparing to offload quartet David Bentley, Darren Bent, Roman Pavlyuchenko and Michael Dawson.
He has told scouts that his priorities are to sign a 'world-class defender' to cover for Ledley King and a 'world-class striker' to link up with Robbie Keane and Jermain Defoe.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has made it clear Redknapp will have to sell before he can buy and this could spell the end of Bentley, Bent, Pavlyuchenko and Dawson, who all have high sell-on values.
Spurs sources say Redknapp is sifting through his options as he considers how to raise money to beef up a squad that has drastically underperformed this season.
