Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has gone cold on signing on-loan Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor.

The Daily Mail says Spurs had opened talks with Premier League rivals Manchester City over a £8m move for the on-loan striker.

But Adebayor has fallen out with Redknapp following a dip in form and the pair reportedly squabbled during a training session.

Adebayor, who missed Saturday's defeat at QPR with a hamstring injury, felt he was being singled out as Redknapp looked for reasons why they have managed just one win in nine games.
