Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp says competing for European places is nothing compared with the pressure of the relegation battle.
Redknapp says the intensity of emotion is nothing when compared with life at the other end of the table.
"There is no comparison," Redknapp told the Sunday Mirror. "None at all. The pressure for those guys this weekend will be immense."
Redknapp lost on the last day against Manchester United while he was in charge at Southampton to endure the drop. Then, against the odds, he went on to rescue Portsmouth from apparently certain demotion by winning at Wigan.
"The difference in how I felt after those games was incredible," he recalled. "I really feel for those managers involved in the fight. People like Ian Holloway at Blackpool and Alex McLeish at Birmingham.
"Ian got the vote for Premier League manager of the season no matter what happens. He has done a remarkable job. I just feel for them."
