Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp heaped praise on Bolton Wanderers striker Kevin Davies after yesterday's 2-2 draw.
The club captain scored his third goal of the season in the 2-2 draw against Tottenham at the Reebok Stadium.
It was just reward for the 32-year-old after another typically tenacious and industrious performance.
In front of watching England manager Fabio Capello, Davies kept Tom Huddlestone on his toes throughout the 90 minutes although the emergency centre half stuck to his task.
Tottenham boss Redknapp said: "Kevin Davies is always a threat. He messes people around.
"He is so difficult to play against. He is like an old-fashioned centre forward to my mind."
Bolton manager Gary Megson said: "If you play the kind of football Kevin thrives on, he is a huge threat."
