Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp was delighted with Robbie Keane's performance in their friendly victory over New York Red Bull.
Keane faces an uncertain future at Spurs after returning from a loan spell at Celtic, but Redknapp was happy with the 30-year-old's contribution in New York.
"He (Keane) needed it, he had a couple of opportunities tonight," said Redknapp. "He pulled off into some great positions as he always does, he just didn't manage to finish one.
"But in the end he got there and then Gareth Bale did well for the other goal, so it was all good."
Keane said: "It was a good work-out for us and we look forward to the next coming games.
"Obviously I was playing up front on my own and it's important to play on the shoulder and play in between people.
"I nearly got in a few times and in the end got a goal, and most importantly we got a win and I thought we lasted well today."
