Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp was delighted with his young debut trio for their clash with Hearts.
Harry Kane, Tom Carroll and Ryan Fredericks were all handed their first starts by the manager. They were later joined by Jake Nicholson, who made his debut as a substitute in the second half.
"I was pleased for them," Redknapp told the Spurs website. "It was a good experience for all of them.
"They come into training every day and work hard, they've got a good attitude and they deserve a chance to play so it was good for them.
"They did okay, they did well and it will only improve them. It's a big stage out there, they've come from playing youth and reserve team football so to step out in front of a big crowd can only do them good.
"Young Tom was excellent, Harry worked hard up front and young Ryan, I'm sure it was a surprise for him to be in the first team. Then Jake Nicholson came on, so it was good experience for the kids."
