Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is in transfer talks with chairman Daniel Levy.
Redknapp has told Levy that it is genuinely possible for Tottenham to challenge for the Premier League next season with the right signings and it is understood that a striker, a central midfielder and a centre defender are his key priorities.
"You have to keep your best players, add to them and make sure you're up there challenging every year," said Redknapp.
"Why can't Tottenham win the championship? It's not impossible. If we want to maintain what we have done we need to improve again."
