Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp admits Scott Parker is a natural choice as captain.
The England midfield man took the armband for last weekend's win at Blackburn as Ledley King and Michael Dawson were injured.
And he is set to lead the team out tomorrow against QPR, who he snubbed in the summer.
"He's been everything and more - just fantastic," said Spurs boss Redknapp.
"He really is a good player and a great lad.
"People don't really understand how to run football clubs and what it takes to have good teams and good dressing rooms.
"It's like anything in life, you need good people. And if you have good lads around you, it makes your job easy."
