Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp isn't surprised by Kenny Dalglish's success at Liverpool.
Six months ago Dalglish celebrated his 60th birthday, joining Redknapp, 64, Sir Alex Ferguson, 69, Roy Hodgson, 64, Neil Warnock, 63, and Arsene Wenger, 61, as living proof that a decent percentage of owners of Premier League clubs feel their substantial investment is best guarded by the experience of such venerable football men.
"I kept reading that Kenny would struggle as he's been out of the game too long," Redknapp told the Mail on Sunday. "People want you to believe it's all such a science now, but the game hasn't changed that much.
"You still have to pass to your own team, don't you? We're all still here because none of us has lost that enthusiasm for the game, have we? It's not a case for any of us any more, thankfully, of having to go to work to pay the mortgage. We're still here because this is something we love doing."
