Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp says there was no chance of selling Peter Crouch yesterday.
Newcastle United were linked with Crouch following the sale of Andy Carroll to Liverpool.
But Redknapp was adamant that the England forward will still be crucial for Tottenham during the rest of the season.
"He has been fantastic for us in Europe," Redknapp said. "He's not scored the goals in the league he is capable of but if you look at Rafael van der Vaart's goals, they have all come nearly off Crouch."
