Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has made a personal check on Palermo defender Simon Kjaer.
The Mirror says Redknapp flew into Italy to check on the big Dane in their clash with Fiorentina as he ponders an £11m move for the stopper.
Palermo sports director Walter Sabatini has already made a visit to London to outline the deal with the Spurs moneymen.
But Redknapp wanted to see the highly-rated defender in action as Manchester City, United and Chelsea also weigh up moves.
But the sticking point could by Kjaer's wages with the defender demanding £100,000-a-week.
Redknapp would not pay that kind of money but try and negotiate after being impressed with the stopper.
