Tottenham boss Redknapp: Liverpool could not live with us for first 30 minutes

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp felt victory over Liverpool was their best performance of the season.

Spurs thumped Liverpool 3-0.

"They couldn't live with us in that first 30 minutes," Redknapp told the Spurs website.

"I thought we played some fantastic football. We absolutely dominated, moved the ball around quickly and got the one goal but I felt we could have been two or three goals up at that stage.

"We moved the ball around the park, loads of movement, rotation, Niko coming off the line, Kyle Walker running in behind him - it was what we'd worked on.

"We were giving them problems everywhere. Gareth Bale, Niko, Scott Parker and Luka were running the game in midfield and they couldn't contain Adebayor and Defoe.

"I was actually disappointed when Adam got sent off because we were so much in control of the game at that time with 11 against 11 that I was concerned that might change the way we play.

"We didn't need that at that stage. With 10 men, they would sit people behind the ball, be dangerous on the counter with Suarez, I was quite happy with 11 against 11.

"I said to Kevin Bond 'this could change the game' but luckily we kept going and the goals came."
