Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is convinced knee problems have stopped Ledley King from becoming one of the game's greats.

Speaking after victory over West Ham, Redknapp lavished special praise on his skipper King, who scored his first goal for three years in his 250th start for Spurs.

Redknapp said: "He is a fantastic player.

"If he was fit, he would be an England player. Unfortunately his knee is a massive problem. It is such a shame."
