Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp says Ledley King deserves a place in England's World Cup squad.
Redknapp is convinced King, 29, can play a vital role for England next summer - despite his chronic knee problems.
He said: "I'd take Ledley to the World Cup. If you needed someone to play one or two games, if you had a suspension in a quarter-final or semi-final, then he's your man. He can't play Saturday-Wednesday because of his knee problems but if you wanted somebody you could put your life on to do the job, you know what you are going to get.
"Ledley would be more than useful.
"I don't know if he will be involved, that's up to the England manager. But Capello has seen enough of him to know what a fantastic player he is."
