Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is keen to send defender Chris Gunter away on-loan.

"He's a player that needs to go out and play," said Redknapp on Setanta Sports News.

"He's a young lad and he needs some games under his belt. It would do him good to go out and get some games.

"There's been several clubs in The Championship interested in him so we'll make a decision after the weekend because he needs to go out and play.

"He's in the Welsh squad as well. He's a young player we hope's got a future here but he needs to get playing some games. It would do him the world of good."
