Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp admits he wants to buy Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero. Redknapp has confirmed he was in the market for a new striker during January.
He said: "We were looking at an extra striker in the January transfer window like Andy Carroll or Sergio Aguero, but it's impossible. We could never have afforded them. We're not going to get Carroll or Aguero because we need a stadium that will hold 60,000 people so we can compete and you can't expect the owners to keep funding everything.
"If you want the top players you need to pay top money and you need a stadium that will hold the crowds - and you will get crowds at Tottenham.
"We would sell out every week; 60,000 would be no problem for us, we have 26,000 on the waiting list for season tickets."
