Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp would never consider selling striker Jermain Defoe.
He snubbed a player-plus-cash bid for Defoe in the summer.
Redknapp, whose side visit Wigan today, said: "I'd have been scared to sell him. He'd come back and haunt you.
"Someone had the cheek to ask if I'd do a swap with someone they couldn't give away - I thought he'd been drinking."
