Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp hopes to have Aaron Lennon available for Sunday's clash with Wigan Athletic.
Lennon was struck down with a groin problem at the end of December and has not featured since as it was feared that he required a hernia operation.
Redknapp, though, is confident that the former Leeds player will not need to go under the knife and the winger could feature in the Premier League trip to the DW Stadium.
The Spurs boss said in The Sun on Tuesday: "He is happier every day so hopefully it could be next weekend. He won't need an operation."
