Tottenham boss Redknapp hints Parker would be his England captain
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has hinted Scott Parker would be his England captain.
While Redknapp has admitted Liverpool's Steven Gerrard could lead his country, it is clear that Parker has repaid the Spurs manager's faith this season.
Redknapp said: "I bent over backwards to get him (Parker) here this summer. At the end of last season, I just said to (chairman) Daniel (Levy): 'I want Scott Parker. Got to have him. He's the player we need here.'
"He gets on with the job. He's not a minute's problem. He's not Billy Big Time, he's just a great boy, and I think that's what you need at your football club if you are going to do anything. You need them.
"You need men in your side, definitely. You need characters like that in your side if you are going to win anything. And that's what he is.""Because as a person, not just as a player, you need good people. He's just a fantastic boy. He's a family man, he loves his football, he trains well, he plays well.

The same age:
Parker, 10 caps and hardly a world class inspirational game in his life.
Gerrard, 89 caps, Champions league winner and MOTM, proven on every stage to be the best british 'clutch' player this generation, does there even need to be a decision?
If Harry chooses Scott it's merely a biast decision, and a daft one, next he'd proberbly try and 'sign' Crouch again and get a cut...
i think they should sell him and buy a Black African player for a change.
