Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is forming close ties with Ipswich Town.
Redknapp has struck up a close friendship with the Tractor Boys' reclusive owner Marcus Evans.
An Ipswich insider revealed to the People: "Marcus and Harry have become the best of pals in the last two years or so. When Marcus bought the club he had no football experience and turned to Harry for advice.
"But it has gone way beyond that since then. They have even had trips abroad in a private jet and played in Sir Bobby Robson's annual golf tournament in Portugal.
"The bond is so strong that when Roy Keane was sacked in January it was Harry who helped to draw up the shortlist of candidates to replace him.
"Paul Jewell was appointed but Harry also nominated Steve Cotterill and Sean O'Driscoll for the job."
