Tottenham boss Redknapp hasn't scrapped Ramos diet

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp insists he hasn't touched the scientific diet of predecessor Juande Ramos.

Ramos' strict menu drew complaints from some players, but in his column for The Sun, Redknapp revealed: "When I was a player, I'd have a pre-match meal of the biggest lump of fillet steak you could find, followed by rice pudding. Other times, I'd have a steak and kidney pie. I'd finish the meal at 12.30pm and be playing 2½ hours later.

"It's crazy when you think about it.

"At Tottenham before I arrived, there was a carefully planned food regime in place.

"I'm not an expert in this field so I've not changed anything since taking over at White Hart Lane. We have plenty of people at Spurs who know more about it than I do."
