Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is looking forward to big games against Aston Villa, Chelsea and Manchester United in the coming weeks.
He said: "You want to play the big clubs towards the end of the season as they are involved in the Champions League and FA Cup semi-finals.
"It happened to me at Portsmouth when we played Arsenal. They had a Champions League match before and after. Three or four of their best players didn't play against us. It is all part of the luck of the draw."
Liverpool beat Real Madrid 1-0 away and then lost 2-0 at Middlesbrough in their next game.
"It's about catching teams right," said Redknapp. "It was a nice time to play Liverpool on Saturday after Real Madrid. I said to a lot of people that I could not see Middlesbrough getting beaten by Liverpool."
