Tottenham boss Redknapp gunning for loudmouth Blackpool fan

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is gunning for one Blackpool fan at Bloomfield Road.

Twenty-five years ago he took Bournemouth to Bloomfield Road.

The Spurs boss recalled the Seasiders' fan who kept barracking him in the dug-out.

"When we went 1-0 down, he kept looking in saying: 'Don't cry, Harry. It isn't that important.'

"We took about 30 fans up there in one coach and they were singing 'Harry Redknapp's Red and White Army'.

"Then the bloke started again. 'It's like the Kop singing for Dalglish, isn't it Harry?'

"He never stopped. I had a player sitting next to me called Tom Heffernan.

"He was the hardest man I have ever met in football.

"His party trick was heading cricket balls. "He offered to keep the fan quiet but I told him to leave it.

"Anyway, we won the game 3-1. I looked round and he had gone.

"I've never been back there since."
