Tottenham boss Redknapp: Don’t write us off

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has warned rivals to not write his side off at any stage throughout the season after beating Liverpool 2-1 at White Hart Lane.

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has warned rivals to not write his side off at any stage throughout the season after beating Liverpool 2-1 at White Hart Lane.

Spurs came from a goal down to clinch a stirring win over Liverpool thanks to Aaron Lennon’s injury-time winner, prompting Redknapp to say his side was capable of overcoming any situation.

"We're not a team that you can write off and go, 'They're going nowhere, are they?’. Even if you're one down, we're always going to make plenty of opportunities and it's a case of sticking them away,” Redknapp said.

"I just feel we've got a belief in there that we can come from behind."

And Redknapp was of firm belief that Spurs earned the three points that saw them edge closer to fourth-placed Manchester City despite the fact Jermain Defoe missed a penalty on the hour-mark.

"We had lots of good chances and, in the end, I felt we deserved the win,” he added.

"It was a great performance to come from one down. When we missed the penalty I've got to be honest, I thought 'Maybe it's not our day today'. But we kept going."
