Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is determined to test Everton's resolve over striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni.

The News of the World says Redknapp believes he could tempt Everton hitman Yakubu, 25, south - and that a bid of £10million would be difficult for the cash-strapped Goodison club to turn down.

Toffees gaffer David Moyes would be a reluctant seller.

But Yakubu proved when he left Middlesbrough to join Everton that once his head has been turned by a deal he will move.
