Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is delighted to be adding Les Ferdinand to his coaching staff.
"Les can work with the strikers," said Redknapp.
"There is loads of British talent out there and we need to get these boys involved because they have great football brains.
"I had a similar arrangement at Portsmouth, when Luther Blissett came in and helped the forwards during the 2003-04 season. Yakubu had been having a difficult time in front of goal, but after Luther came in, he ended up finishing the season by scoring 11 goals in ten matches."
