Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is convinced Jermain Defoe can do a Euro 2012 job for England.
Manchester United star Wayne Rooney is banned for the first two games.
Redknapp noted: "Darren Bent is also out for the season so suddenly you are looking at it and Jermain has every chance."
